Recruited into wine sales from the restaurant industry in 1996, Mike learned about wine industry distribution from Wayne Hirst of Hirst Imports. In 2002, after attending Oregon Pinot Camp, Mike was offered the opportunity to start Bacchus Fine Wines for Willamette Valley Vineyards. This experience allowed him to learn the production side of the industry and develop relationships within Oregon.
Mike went on to join Mitchell Wine Group in 2010, the Oregon distributor for David Hill. During his time at Mitchell Wine Group, Mike began to understand both the history and quality of David Hill Vineyards and Winery. Realizing the the great opportunity to be at such an historic property, Mike Joined the David Hill team in 2014. He currently acts as managing partner, and vineyard manager, and continues to advocate for the David Hill Estate and its historic vines. |
