Email [email protected] to make reservations. March 12th - Wine tasting 201
A Little Deeper into the Glass Wine is amazing stuff - a complex combination of compounds that reflect the grape variety, soil, weather, and winemaking, as well as how long it's been in the bottle. In this class we'll take the next step after Wine Tasting 101 and use our senses to explore some of the more nuanced elements of wine such as the effect of oak, malolactic fermentation, time in the bottle, and more. While it will help to have a little bit of experience tasting wine, this class is open to everyone so don't let the title scare you. April 30th - Discovery Series
Off the Beaten Path - Lesser Known Grapes of the Discovery Series When Charles Coury planted our vineyard in the mid 1960's, no one was sure which grape varieties would do well in the Willamette Valley, so he planted quite a few varietals as an experiment. We still have small quantities of many of them, and they make up the bulk of our Discovery Series wines. Join us as we taste some delicious wines and explore the stories behind some of our Discovery Series grapes such as Savagnin Rose, Chasselas, Sylvaner and Melon de Bourgogne june 4th - barrel tasting
The Winemaker's Spice Palette One of the more versatile tools available to a winemaker is the use of wood to ferment and age wine. Wood vessels come in many shapes and sizes and can be made from different types of wood with different levels of char. Each variation, including the age of the barrel, affects the wine in different ways. Join to learn about this fascinating aspect of winemaking which will include a trip down to the winery to sample some wine from various types of wood vessels. september 10th - riedel glass tasting
Does Glass Shape Matter? Join us for a hands-on demonstration and see for yourself the difference the right glass shape can make. This class includes a set of 4 Riedel grape-specific glasses to take home at the end of the evening. Check back later for up-to-date pricing for this class. Harvest class - date t.b.d.
A Vineyard Tour from Grapes to Glass Galileo described wine as “Sunlight held together by water”, but how does that happen? Join us for a vineyard and winery tour as the grapes are being brought in from the vineyard and turned into wine. This class includes a moderate walk through the vineyard on gravel roads. We will determine the date of this class when we are closer to harvest 2026. This class will begin at 10AM. December 3rd - Bubbles!
Exploring Sparkling Wine Sparkling wine is festive, fun, and is not just for special occasions since it pairs with a wide range of foods. Most major wine regions of the world produce a sparkling wine and it can be made in different styles using several different methods. Join us as we learn about how sparkling wine is made and taste through examples from around the world, including our own latest sparkling wine. Vertical Divider
