2008 Estate Pinot Gris

For the second year in a row the Gris was the first white grapes to be picked at David Hill Vineyards. The two different sections of Pinot Gris were picked on back to back days and processed in separate tanks with two unique yeast strains. One of the lots was fermented dry while the other was left with a hint of sweetness. After the wines finished fermentation they were blended together then polished and put into bottles. What arose was this beautiful wine with aromas of pineapple, citrus and melon followed by a structured palate with citrus like flavors and a crisp finish.

Estate Riesling 2009
This Riesling was produced from one of the oldest commercial Riesling Vineyards in Oregon, planted in 1965. Very little Botrytis touched the vineyard this year leaving the true varietal to really show. The cold fermentation lasted for 30 days in which all these wonderful aromas were created such as apples, peaches and honey. The mouth feel refreshes the palate with crisp peach and mineral notes with length in its entirety. This is one that will leave a lasting impression on the drinker. One of Jason’s best!
